Coaching FAQs

Who do I work with in coaching?

1. You resonate with me and my approach

I always say to friends, colleagues and potential clients, pick the coach that you feel really comfortable with who you know will challenge you, support you and make you comfortable in being your unique self.

When you resonate with me this enables us to create a strong foundation of trust, possibility and transformation in the coaching container. In coaching, like any great relationship, having chemistry and affinity is the key to being a powerful team together. It is a collaborative relationship where we work together on your development.  If you already have a sense that you like what you are reading, you can take the next step by booking a free Clarity Call. This allows us time to talk and connect more deeply one-on-one. You get a direct live experience of me and how I work, and I get a feel for you and what your needs and desires may be. Together, we will figure out if we make a great match

2. You are able to invest in the process

This means that your basic physical and economic needs are covered, so you are not in survival mode. The less stress you are under with basic survival concerns, the more receptive you will become to change. Making a financial commitment to empower your healing helps your subconscious know that you are serious about this. You will not regret investing in your personal growth and happiness, but it really helps to have your basic needs covered first.

3. You are willing to commit and do the work

This means actively engaging in the practices and home-play I suggest in a way that supports your nervous system and you utilise my support in between in our sessions. If you are not doing the work, you will not get the results you desire. I can and do offer accountability, support, and creative ways to work with resistance (it is normal and expected), but I can’t do the work for you.

4. You feel that you are prepared to invest in yourself

If you feel emotionally grounded and stable in life, and are ready to dive in- that is fabulous. But it is very helpful if you have already engaged in some self-development work like leadership development at work, therapy, counselling, meditation, embodiment work or similar disciplines and have built a foundation of self-awareness around your own patterns, gifts, and challenges. While I am a coach who is trained in and uses a wide range of therapeutic practices, I am not a psychotherapist. I am trauma informed and am studying trauma at a deeper level but if you have serious trauma and have not received or currently receive therapy and support for the trauma, I believe it is in your best interest to do that first.

If you do have trauma and are receiving therapy, my coaching can be an incredibly empowering addition to your support network. We can discuss your particular situation/history together if you have any questions or concerns.

5. What happens in the Clarity Call?

This is a 6o minutes zoom call that is free of charge to you.

On it we talk about what is going on for you at the moment. We talk about your goals for the coaching, what you want to create, what might be getting in the way of your doing all of this. We talk about how we would work together, what that might look and feel like.

If it is a clear YES from both of us. If it is a NO or MAYBE, then I can possibly offer you some resources or material that may help you.

6. What is the time commitment for coaching with you?

I offer a 6 month packages and you can do two or three sessions a month and you make a monthly payment, the cost varies depending on whether you choose to see me twice a month or three times a month. I will give you a quote during the clarity call. We conduct the sessions then over zoom. You need to have time to integrate after the session so I would recommend a space of at least 30 minutes before you plan to do anything after.

I also create home practices for you to do and these are a combination of mediations, self-reflection, mindset work and embodiment practices. For most people these practices are between 5-15 minutes each day and it is good to do them at least 3-4 times per week but it does depend on your nervous system and what it can cope with at any given time. It is important to try the practices during the week as they are part of the growth and learning journey you are going on and support you to develop new skills along the way.

7. Do you work with people of all genders?

I do. My lived experience is that of a CIS Hetero woman so that is the lens that I bring to the world however I have experience in working with people across the range of both gender and sexuality spectrum.

8. Do you work Internationally or just In Australia?

I do both. Because I work on zoom we can work from anywhere and we can generally make the timezone work wherever you are. Working online might feel different but it is actually great because you can do it from the comfort of your own home which most people enjoy because they can just be themselves.

9. How can I pay you and do you have a refunds policy?

Generally you make a monthly payment. You can pay upfront if you choose. I have different payment systems, you can pay me via credit/debit card, direct funds transfer via EFT locally, or into a OFX or Wise account if it is an international payment, or via Paypal. My refunds policy is in footer of this page, you can click on it below to read it.
